About the event

In 2010 Kazakhstan begins its chairmanship in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) – the biggest regional security organization, connecting 56 countries of Europe, North America and Asia. Kazakhstan undertakes the chairmanship in OSCE from Greece, and in 2011 it transfers the chairmanship to Lithuania.

Kazakhstan and Lithuania agreed that during the years of the chairmanship of both countries the priority directions will be the development and extension of transport and transit.

This period coincides with the state program of Kazakhstan „Road to Europe“the implementation of which started in 2009 and will be completed in 2011.

The success of transit development and the program „Road to Europe, will in many cases depend on reasonable logistics.

The international logistics conference taking place on the eve of the chairmanship of Kazakhstan in OSCE is a step towards a wider dialogue about the development of transit among the states, business, science and politics.

The awards of the international business magazine JŪRA MOPE SEA will be granted for special merits in logistics.

Concept of the event

The intention of the project is to induce inter-state economic cooperation of Kazakhstan and Lithuania, paying special attention to the impact of cooperation among European and Asian countries on the development of transit.

 

Objectives of the event

  • Induce the demand for logistics as goods
  • Show the possibilities of logistics in inducing the movement of goods and transit process
  • Attract the attention of state authority institutions of the countries to the problems interfering with the development of transit. Propose the ways of solution of them
  • Show how rational logistics solutions change the transport policy
  • Submit the insights of logistics, transport and transit specialists for the countries – chairing ESCO in the future – the governments of Kazakhstan and Lithuania
  • Present international business magazine JŪRA MOPE SEA, as logistics, transport and transit tribune in Eurasian market
